The results of the first stage of the creative environmental work of students in the form of the Environmental quiz on the study of attitudes to water were announced.
Environmental quiz contains questions on knowledge of the rivers of the Samara region, and questions to assess the level of preparedness of residents to participate in environmental activities.
The work was carried out in October-November 2016 by students of schools №№ 147, 162 among the 300 inhabitants the Kirovsky district of Samara over 18 years. Among the respondents, about half of the residents regularly, almost every month, are resting on the banks of the river Samara.
Summary as follows:
1. 89% of residents save water from the tap in your home. And 27% are thinking about it and just going to organize your life, taking into account water-saving.
2. The majority of citizens believe that the most to blame for the pollution of the rivers in the region - industry (34%), transport (31%), agriculture (24%) and only 11% of citizens said the reason the human factor.
3. The majority (47%) believes that it is necessary to restrict access to water protection zones of the river Samara and regulate the number of visitors, but free. One third of respondents (35%) against any restrictions and regulations on the banks of rivers, and only 18% of people agree that the coastal zones need to make access fee, and the money spent on the restoration of the river.
4. Nevertheless, most (59%) of respondents removing their debris after a holiday at any case, even if they are forced to take it with you, and the rest of the respondents are willing to do so at presence container for disposal.
Therefore, it is possible to allocate the dominant position of local residents with respect to water resources in the region: most of them saves water in their home, they ready to follow certain rules free of charge, and clean up a debris after a rest on the coastal areas of the rivers, especially in the presence of the container.
This event let not only find out the level of knowledge of residents about water resources of the Samara region, but also to give environmental education and to attract the attention of the local population to environmental problems. The second stage in the same audience will be held at the end of the project in June 2017 after the installation of the modules to rest on the banks of of the river Samara.
